Epic Down Daylight Savings Fall Back

What’s happening?
Epic downtime 1:58 am – 2:30 am, Sunday, November 5 (92 minutes)

Epic will be unavailable for approximately 92 minutes for all users (including External Affiliates and remote users) while we fall back and repeat the 1 am hour on Sunday, November 5. Epic will be available to all users after ADT Recovery has been completed.
 
When?
Epic will be down from 1:58—2:30 am on Sunday, November 5.

How does this affect me?
  • Epic will be unavailable between 1:58–2:30 am (one hour due to time change, plus an estimated 30 minutes for ADT recovery)
  • A Code Epic Down will be activated at the start of the maintenance.  
  • All Interfaces will be down during this time. 
  • BCA Web Entry will be used for this downtime.  
  • Read Only Access will be available during the downtime.
  • Following the downtime, the Virtual Desktop Environments will be updated to support the changes.
What do I need to do?
  1. Please review all downtime procedures with your staff and any new employees or agency staff that will be working during this outage.
  2. Please make sure your BCAs are turned on and up to date with the latest reports prior to the downtime.

Epic production build and workflow customizations will be unavailable from 12:00 pm–2:30 am on November 5, 2023.

Workflows customizations unavailable during this time are: 
  • Creating or editing filters in Chart Review.
  • Applying filters in Worklists.
  • Customizing advanced setting for Charge Router Reconciliation and Routed Charges Report.
  • Creating or editing SmartLinks.
  • Personalizing Dashboards.
  • Creating, editing, or sharing Note Writer Macros.
  • Creating or editing Quick Actions for In Basket Messages.
  • Saving Slicer Dicer Sessions.

How does this affect me?
You will not be able to utilize the above workflows during this time. 

What do I need to do?
Assist in communicating this information to your staff at/in your respective facilities/departments.
