Touro provides safe parking for employees, learners, patients, their families, and visitors.
STARTING DECEMBER 1, 2025 - UPDATES TO PARKING
- Staring December 1, 2025, entry to the all garages at Touro is now gate-restricted. Medical students continue to be assigned parking in the St.Charles/Amelia Healthcare Garage (address is 3715 Prytania Street).
- Medical Students must now pull a ticket for entry to the St.Charles/Amelia HC Garage
- Medical Students may validate their ticket with Security at any time during their shift, as the validation applies for the entire day.
- Security will be stationed in the hospital lobby Monday through Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm for convenience.
- Security is also available 24/7 in the main hospital on the 1st floor and can validate parking tickets if needed.
Shuttle options continue to be available for Medical Students.
Touro has two options to assist in safe parking: 1) a shuttle that runs M-F 5am – 930pm, and 2) Security Escorts. Both can be reached by calling 504-897-8751.
For Medical Students rotating on OB/GYN shifts:
5am Arriving Shift
- Be parked in the St. Charles / Amelia HC Garage (address is 3715 Prytania Street) no later than 4:55am
- Meet your group and the shuttle on the Prytania Street- side exit near the 1st floor elevator
- The shuttle will leave no later than 5am
11pm Departing Shift
- Meet your group and Touro Security escort in the hospital lobby no later than 11pm
- Security will escort the group to the garage
